Department Mission

Belfast's Parks and Recreation Department provides close to home, affordable, recreational opportunities for its citizens. The department is committed to:

  • Collaborating with other City departments to promote and enhance the economic development of the community
  • Offering a combination of active and passive facilities and programs to accommodate a wide variety of used groups and activities
  • Supporting the health and well being of its citizens, underscoring the message that Belfast is a community which actively promotes regular physical activity for all segments of its population
  • Working to establish, maintain, beautify, and improve City parks and green spaces

NEWS WORTHY
The Department's new RecDesk registration software has gone live as of Monday, June 2, at 9 AM. You can link to the software using the menu to the left using "Link to RecDesk (Registration Software."


Once there, you can log-in if you have already created your houRecDesk Community Sitesehold account; if not, use these instructions to create your household, which will allow you to register for programs, secure reservations for the Belfast City Park Pavilion and tennis courts, purchase Discount Amusement Park Tickets, and more!  

To get started, please follow these simple steps:
1) Use this link to get to the Community Portal: https://belfastme.recdesk.com/Community/Home
2) Click on CREATE ACCOUNT.
3) Enter your name, phone, and email address to start your household account.
4) Click on CONTINUE.
5) Complete all other information that is requested. and then SAVE! 
NOTE:  Anything with an asterisk is required information. 

If you ever forget your username/password, we have the ability to reset information for you and/or send you a link to reset your password.
