November 3, 2020 Presidential Election
The City Clerk's Office is now accepting requests for Absentee Ballots for the November 3, 2020 Presidential Election. See below for a blank application that you can print, complete and submit to our office. You can also use the State of Maine Absentee Portal to request your absentee ballot. Please be aware that we do not receive the ballots until 30 days prior to any Election. If you have or will be submitting a request application, you should expect to receive your Absentee Ballots in the mail by the second week in October. We are expecting a higher than normal turn out for Absentee Ballots, so please be patient with our office as we process these requests and get ballots out in the mail or in person to you. We have received the ballots in our office, so any voter can come in and vote here in the Clerk's office if you choose, or you can complete an application and we will physically hand you the ballots over the counter. To return the ballots you can use the US Postal service for $0.65, hand deliver to the Clerk's office, or use our new Ballot Drop Box located at the High Street Entrance of City Hall. This box will be checked daily to process all absentees returned by voters.
