Belfast City Park, the City's oldest park, was established in 1904. The park is a heavily used across its 17.5 acres. Park visitors enjoy a sweeping view of Penobscot Bay. The park is open May 1 to November 15, unless weather conditions make it unfeasible for the park to be open these days, or unless weather conditions and the condition of the park would permit the park to be opened earlier than May 1 or closed later than November 15 (per City Ordinance).
