In exchange for quality job creation and significant financial investment, the City of Belfast can offer your business land for development at attractive rates in our Belfast Airport Business Park.  The Belfast Airport Business Park is conveniently located along the US Route 1 Bypass, approximately one mile south of Belfast’s commercial center.  Belfast Municipal Airport is located between its north and south phases.

Available Lots
Lots are currently available for sale in the south phase (along Little River Drive) of the Belfast Airport Business Park.  The south phase is served by a 12” water main, and there is 46 PSI at the hydrant, with a 950 gallon/minute flow at 35 PSI.  Municipal sewer and 3-phase power are also available.  Most of the lots in the south phase have a southern exposure.  A vegetated swale runs through Lots 2 and 3, draining water from the uplands to two detention ponds - the first is located in a common area adjacent to Lot 5; the second is located on Lot 8.

Development Resources
The Belfast Airport Business Park possesses a permit under the Site Location of Development Law, which eliminates the need for additional permits from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, provided various criteria are met.  Most allowed uses require only Code Enforcement Officer review and not local Planning Board review.  However, the permit does require certain deed restrictions, and there are additional requirements to comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

Belfast Airport Business Park Development Criteria include a minimum lot size of 40,000 square feet; a maximum building coverage of 85%; and a minimum lot frontage of 150 feet.
