The Belfast City Park Pool was built in 1973-1974 and opened to the public in 1974; an upgrade to the filter system was installed around 2002-2003 approximately.  This pool replaced the original pool located at the bottom of the park next to the bay; that was a natural saltwater pool built in the 1930s.  The natural, saltwater pool was closed in the 1960s.

The Belfast City Park Pool has a depth of 10 feet with a three-step entry.  There is a small grass lawn for towels or picnic chairs.  There are open-air changing rooms and restrooms on-site.  Admission is FREE.

Each year, we post the pool operating schedule to include lap swimming and family swim time.
