Facilities

Wales Park is within easy walking distance of downtown and is a welcoming green space for visitors entering Belfast from the west. Park facilities include playground equipment, grills, picnic tables and a picnic shelter. The park is now home to the Wales Park Community Garden, an effort by a volunteer Committee to provide gardening opportunities for people to rent plots through a lottery system. The Wales Park Community Garden Committee has worked extremely hard over the 2020 season to prepare the site for 2021 gardening. The mission of the Community Garden is to strengthen food security and support a healthy lifestyle through the garden plots for Belfast residents and organizations.
