NOTICE from BCTV Program Director, Ned Lightner:

Spectrum has restored the public and government access channels back to their original positions in Belfast. The government access channel, which had been moved to channel 1303 has returned to channel 7, and the public access channel which was moved to channel 1301, has been returned to channel 2.
The channels will continue to be simulcast on 1301 and 1303.

This is great news, because many in our community never ventured to 1301 or 1303 and just thought their local channels had disappeared.
We have both the Community Television Association of Maine and the state legislature to thank for requiring the cable companies to restore the channels to a position that is readily accessed by all cable subscribers. The change was required by to take place by July 31 and the change took place on July 29.
