The City of Belfast is soliciting written bids for the following paving project:

Enclosed with this letter are instructions and specifications pertaining to bids.

Bidders are requested to submit their proposal to the City Clerk's office, 131 Church

Street, Belfast, Maine 04915 on or before 10:00 a.m., March 31, 2026, with bids to be

opened publicly at this time. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked

clearly "Paving Project" City of Belfast.

As an agency of government, the City of Belfast is exempt from payment of the State

of Maine sales or use tax. Therefore, bids should exclude such taxes. Federal excise

certification shall be executed upon request of favorable bidder.

The City of Belfast reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and/or all bids

submitted. The City also reserves the right to waive any formality or technicality. The

award of the bid may be based on price, quality, and service or deemed in the best

interest of the city.
