We encourage taxpayers to take full advantage of the various programs available to ease the impact of the property tax. Some of the most common exemptions include:
  • Farmland and Open Space classification
  • Homestead
  • Tree Growth
  • Veterans and their widows
  • Legally Blind

Applications for all of the foregoing exemptions must be made on or before April 1 of the year in which they are sought. The Business Equipment Tax Refund (BETR) and Business Equipment Tax Exemption (BETE) programs are available to those commercial and industrial properties that meet certain established criteria.

*Business Equipment Tax Exemption (BETE) filings need to be submitted to the Assessor's Office by April 30, 2017. No BETE filings will be accepted after April 30th.

*Homestead Exemptions are increasing this year! Please provide ALL homestead and other exemption applications prior to April 1st per state law for us to determine if you qualify for additional tax savings. Please mail or drop-off originals. Faxes will not be accepted. Thank you.

Assessment Date
