Notice of Public Sale
Tax Acquired Property
Pursuant to the Ordinance for the Maintenance, Administration and Disposition of Property Acquired by the City of Belfast through automatic foreclosure of municipal liens. Public bids are hereby solicited for the sale of four (4) municipal tax acquired properties, described as follows:

A packet of information and a designated bid sheet may be obtained from the Belfast City Clerk at 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine 04915 or on the City’s website at www.cityofbelfast.org.
Note: Successful bidder is/are responsible for all occupants.
All bids must be submitted on the designated bid sheet and accompanied with a certified bank check or postal money order in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid total.
Successful bidders are required to make full payment within 30 calendar days of the bid opening and they will also be required to sign a conditional purchase and sale agreement which will require them to clean up, at their own additional expense, any garbage or junk stored outside on the property bid upon. Successful bidder is also responsible for all occupants. Successful bid deposits are non refundable after 30 days. Conveyance will be by municipal quitclaim deed. The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids.
Bids should be received on or before 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
Bids will be read aloud at the July 17, 2018 City Council meeting at or as close to 7:00 p.m. as possible. All bids should be in a plain envelope clearly marked “Municipal Tax Acquired Property Bid”, which property you are bidding on, name, address, & phone number of bidder.
