NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS
The Belfast City Council shall
conduct a public hearing at its regular Council meeting of Tuesday November 20,
2007, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as practical thereafter, in the Council
Chambers of Belfast City Hall, which is located at 131 Church Street, regarding
proposed amendments to the Belfast Code of Ordinances, Chapter 102, Zoning,
Article IX, Performance Standards, Division 3, Nonresidential Development
Standards-Route 3 Commercial District. The proposed amendments involve adopting
specific performance standards that would apply to any application not subject
to contract rezoning requirements that develops the so-called ‘Les Hills’
property owned by Bank of America; reference Tax Map 5, Lots 11, 19, 19A, 21,
23, and 36A. The hearing also is the Council’s Second Reading of these
Ordinance amendments.
The public is invited to attend
the hearing and to express their comments to the Council. Comment also may be
submitted in writing or by email until 5:00 p.m. on November 20th.

The draft First Reading
language is now available for inspection at the City Clerk and Department of
Planning & Community Development offices in City Hall, Monday – Friday, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on the City website,
cityofbelfast.org. The final
language to be considered at the November 20th Second Reading will be
available for inspection on November 8th. Questions regarding the
