City of Belfast The City of Belfast is now accepting applications from local non-profit groups and civic organizations to participate in the “Good Cause” bottle redemption program. Each qualified participating organization will receive one months receipts of the returnable bottles and cans that are collected at the City of Belfast Transfer Station. Non-profit groups and civic organizations interested in participating in this program must be based in Belfast, their services available to the residents of Belfast, and their services provided in Belfast. Applications for the 2010 program year are due now until January 15th, 2010. Due to the overwhelming success of this program, recipients will be drawn from applicants who have not previously received benefits first and then any remaining benefit periods will be drawn from the applicants who have received benefits in the past. We strongly encourage all to apply.
