Notice of Public Hearings: Rangeway Management Plan

CITY OF BELFAST PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING CITY RANGEWAYS

The City of Belfast is in the process of creating development and management plans for local rangeways and public right-of-ways to the shore. This project is funded by a Maine Coastal Communities Grant awarded to the City. As part of this process the City is seeking public input from abutters of each rangeway.

The public is encouraged to attend and share opinions and participate in the discussion. For example, what is or is not working well for the rangeway, and any improvements that you would or would not want to see. Draft recommendations can be found below or on the Planning & Codes page of the City website. These are not final and will be updated to include public input. Formal recommendations will then be made to the City Council for final approval, at which time the public will be given another opportunity to provide feedback.

Please see below the schedule for each rangeway public hearing, which will take place in the City Council Chambers located at Belfast City Hall, which is located at 131 Church Street. These meetings will focus on draft recommendations prepared by City staff.

Questions and comments regarding the process or the draft plans may be submitted in writing to Sadie Lloyd, Assistant Planner at slloyd@cityofbelfast.org or by calling 338-1417 x 25, mailed to Sadie Lloyd, 131 Church Street, Belfast, ME 04915, or may be discussed in person at the Code & Planning office.
