It seems that the Boat House is and remains …a very hot rental item! The deciding factor for most renters, I am told, is the proximity of the Boat House to beautiful Belfast Bay. There is no question of the idyllic beauty of the bay and the lush greenery of the adjacent Steamboat Landing Park.

Nearly five years of renting the Boat House and each ensuing year surpasses the year before. Belfast’s Sesquicentennial (150) years celebration saw many events & receptions hosted at the Boat House. One of the sesquicentennial events was a Pie Baking and Story Telling Fest in June that was received most favorably with plans of repeating again this year and in the year 2005.

Weddings and receptions continue to be the most popular rentals; these are not only for local people but, people from surrounding towns, and New England states as well. It is amazing to me at times to hear how well the boat house is known just through word of mouth, that is from a person who had an event and told another person who is planning an event. Truly the Boat House is the rent of choice for that special celebration, family or class reunion, monthly or annual workshop or for the small concert/lecture. Plan early for that upcoming date.
