2004 Fire Department Annual Report
James L. Richards, Chief
The Fire Department consists of a Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, Captain,
Lieutenant, Scott Officer, Safety Officer, Training Officer, and 32 paid
volunteer fire fighters.
The fire department responded to a total of 187 fire alarms, 19 different
types of training and 11 monthly meeting in 2004.

The Fire Department responded on (21) calls to the Town of Swanville.
We have Mutual Aid set up with all surrounding Towns for fire suppression
and “Jaws of Life” extrication if needed.
The Fire Department has added a new “Snow Rescue Sled” for removing
patients from off road accidents. This has to be towed by a snowmobile
