NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
CITY OF BELFAST CODE OF ORDINANCES
The Belfast City Council, at its meeting of
Tuesday, October 3, 2006, beginning at 7:00 P.M. or as soon as practical
thereafter, in the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall which is located at 131
Church Street, shall conduct a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to
the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 102, Zoning. The amendments apply to the
Residential Agricultural 1 zone and would limit the hours of operation of a
restaurant, which includes bars and taverns, to the time period of 5:00 am to
10:00 pm. Proposal also would apply to restaurants operated by entities such as
but not limited to fraternal and social organizations and recreational
facilities.
Persons who may be affected by the above
proposal are encouraged to attend the public hearings and offer comment, or may
submit written comment. Written comment must be received by 5:00 P.M. on
October 3, and should be sent to Roberta Fogg, City Clerk, City of Belfast, 131
Church St., Belfast, ME, 04915. The proposal is available for public inspection
at the City Clerk or Dept of Planning and Community Development offices.
