NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENT
CITY OF BELFAST CODE OF ORDINANCES
The Belfast City Council, at its meeting
of Tuesday, March 20, 2007, beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as practical
thereafter, in the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall which is located at 131
Church Street, shall conduct a public hearing regarding a proposed amendment to
the City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 102, Zoning. The amendment would allow the
so-called ‘caretaker’s cottage’ property owned by Bank of America, Map 5, Lot
6B, which is located at 146 Lincolnville Avenue, and which is located in the
Airport Growth zoning district to be used as a single family residence. A new
single-family residence normally is a prohibited use in the Airport Growth
zoning district.
Persons who may be affected by this
proposal are encouraged to offer comment at the public hearing, or may submit
written comment. Written comment must be received by 5:00 pm. on March 20th,
and should be sent to Roberta Fogg, City Clerk, City of Belfast, 131 Church St.,
Belfast, ME, 04915. The proposal is available for public inspection at the City
Clerk or Department of Planning and Community Development offices. Questions
should be directed to Wayne Marshall, City Planner, at 338-1417, ext. 25.
